In the plant biotechnology laboratory of Medimat Kft., we primarily use methods that accelerate the breeding of vegetable plants on behalf of breeding companies.

With more than 20 years of experience, we produce homozygous DH plants of peppers, eggplants, onions, cucumbers and zucchini on behalf of breeding companies.

​

The production of homozygous DH plants for breeding use in edible and spice peppers is of particular importance (2-3 thousand pieces per year). We have been producing homozygous DH plants of peppers for the Dutch breeding company Rijk Zwaan for 20 years.

​

Our laboratory also deals with micropropagation (e.g. potatoes, bananas).

Thanks to our technological background and decades of experience, we can also be involved in breeding projects for other crops.
